The Live Like Lou Foundation is seeking a Program & Engagement Director to manage mission programs and projects that advance our vision to leave ALS better than we found it. This remote, full-time role reports to the Executive Director and serves as the primary program manager for Live Like Lou’s ALS Families and ALS Research portfolios, as well as a key logistics lead for Live Like Lou events across North America.

The Program & Engagement Director will:

• Lead ALS family programs, including Connect & Serve volunteer projects, Quality-of-Life Grants, and scholarships and awards for dependents in ALS families.  

• Support ALS research initiatives such as career development awards, fellowships, and research grants, and coordinate logistics for the biennial ALS Research Symposium for early-career investigators.  

• Serve as logistics lead for Live Like Lou’s in‑person and virtual events, including Lou Gehrig Day activations, fundraising events, scientific meetings, and ALS family‑facing events.

• Supervise a part-time Outreach Coordinator and collaborate closely with communications and development staff, and volunteer leaders.

We’re looking for a strategic project manager and relationship‑builder with at least five years of relevant nonprofit, program, or partnership experience, strong communication skills, and comfort working independently in a remote environment.
