Live Like Lou introduced the Triple Crown Award for Phi Delta Theta Fraternity chapters in 2023.

As Lou Gehrig's Fraternity, this award honors chapters that excel in meaningful engagement in support of our mission.

In Lou's honor, we recognize chapters annually for accomplishing three specific things:
‍
1. Register to serve an ALS family.
2. Become an Iron Phi Chapter.
3. Generate awareness and support for Lou Gehrig's disease by hosting a chapter philanthropy event that contributes $444 or more to the Live Like Lou Foundation.

In its second year, we are excited to announce that 29 Phi Delt chapters have been recognized as Triple Crown winners!

When the Live Like Lou Foundation launched, a bold goal was announced to raise $4 million in 1,848 days for Live Like Lou and the Iron Phi program—this goal was smashed with more than $6.5 million raised. And through July 2024, more than $10.7 million has now been raised! Incredible!

But there’s so much more we need to do. And that’s why we call on every chapter, undergraduate member, and alumnus to share our expectation that the Live Like Lou Foundation is the Fraternity’s exclusive charitable partner when it comes to fundraising efforts, volunteer service, and support in the ALS community.
